Responsibilities

The main activities undertaken by Wilpshire Parish Council include:-

Durham Road Play Area

Wilpshire Parish Council is responsible for the management of the Durham Road Play Area.

Lengthsman Duties

The Parish Council contracts a lengthsman to keep the village tidy, his duties include litter picking, Sweeping up leaves as and when required, cleaning of bus shelters and signs, gardening duties at the Wilpshire Triangle.

Planning
The Parish Council is consulted by the local planning authority on all developments within the Wilpshire boundary and as such sends its observations on them.

Consultation
The Parish Council is consulted on many local and national government issues and provides a local perspective in responses to consultation requests.
